The audacious architecture of Casa Caracol de Luna, in Playa Carrillo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica in harmony with the flora and fauna of Guanacaste is an ideal site for a vacation with your family or friends. Caracol de Luna beach house offers a unique and independent setting, just 500 meters from an incredible palm lined beach on Costa Rica’s gold coast, with all the comforts of home but in the exquisite atmosphere of the beach.

Designed by a renowned architect, and lovingly constructed using precious local hardwoods throughout, the house is open to the pool which reflects the surrounding gardens and the forest behind. An added attraction are the seasonal passing of monkeys and birds which come to feast on tender leaves and ripe fruits in the area behind the house and use the trees shading the garden as a shortcut.

Playa Carrillo is a white sand beach located on the lovely Pacific coast , bordered by palms and coconut palms, and bathed by lazy waves of a turquoise sea, giving that delicious sensation of being in a tropical paradise. Playa Carrillo has the advantage that along the beach there are no hotels or commercial developments, contributing to the image of exotic and unexplored coastline.

Little by little, the village has received new residents, who have tried to maintain the tranquil atmosphere of the quaint fishing village that it has always been, making Playa Carrillo an ideal place to relax. From Casa Caracol de Luna you have the possibility for all sorts of activities such as horseback riding, surfing, seeing turtles laying their eggs or day tours to a volcano or other national parks or reserves, through the services of competent people in our area. If at any moment, someone is looking for night life or discoteques, that can be found at Samara, just 7 kms. from Playa Carrillo.

Whether swimming in the pool in the deeper area or enjoying a beverage while lounging in the shallow area by sunlight or starlight, having a barbecue on the terrace, relaxing or reading a book in the living room, savoring an exquisite meal prepared in the fully equipped kitchen, watching TV, listening to music, or simply sunbathing, the atmosphere at Casa Caracol de Luna beach house will make you feel like you arrived in paradise and never want to leave.

Our Rates

• Weekly US$ 2100 (12 persons). Our weeks run from Sunday 2pm to Sunday 10am
• Easter Week and End of the Year US$ 3000
• Green season weekend special (May 1 to June 30 and August 1 to November 30) US$ 600 -- in Thursday evening and out Sunday afternoon (proximate occupancy permitting)

Up to 3 children 8 years or under free (in excess of total occupancy), each additional person $20 more

All taxes included, for the moment we are only able to receive bank transfers and payment in cash.
