Learn to surf with the pros!

If you're serious about learning to surf or improving your surfing skills or just want to say "I surfed!", Choco's is the place for you. If you are a beginner, we can teach you the basics and if you already have some experience, we can show you more advanced techniques and tricks. You'll be riding the waves in no time when you learn at Choco's.

Having a knowledgeable and professional instructor makes all the difference in learning to surf. Our instructors have years of successful teaching experience, are bilingual, friendly and enjoy sharing their love of surfing.

We also offer safe and fun surfing lessons for children ages 5 and up. The school has over 40 surfboards to rent and has hourly, daily, weekly or monthly rentals available. If you'd rather catch the waves on a boogie board, we have those too.

Choco’s Surf School was founded by one of the original surfers of Samara, Choco, fulfilling a dream to share his passion for surfing with tourists from around the world.

We are conveniently located at the main entrance to the beach, right by the police station. If you already surf, come hang out with us or rent a board. We hope to see you soon on the beach. Until then, Pura Vida!

Rates for 2012

• Private class (1 student per instructor): US$30
• Semi-Private class (2 students per instructor): US$50
• Children's class (children 12 and under): US$20
• Surf Club (4 private classes and use of surfboard while in Samara): US$100
• Hourly rates for surfboard rentals start at US$4, boogie boards start at US$2
• Excellent rates available for weekly rentals
