Welcome to El Lagarto Bar & Restaurant!

We are located right on the beachfront - just a few minutes walk from Samara's main street. Every single day, from November 1st to September 15th, starting at 11 am and until 4 pm, we serve delicious cocktails, fruit drinks and light dishes like salads and fruits salads, gazpacho, a variety of smoked fish or mixed cheeses... just the kind of light meal you wish to have in a hot day spent on the beach. The very tropical and nice atmosphere, surrounded by coconut palms and overlooking the Ocean make of El Lagarto a real paradise!

After 5 pm, visit us for dinner. Open wood fire grill is our specialty. We serve the best meats: stuffed chicken breast, baby back ribs, lamb chops, veal t-bone, pork tenderloin with bacon and Maasdam cheese, porter house t-bone steak of 500 gr (10 oz), mixed sea food plate, whole lobster and whole fish. To our Vegetarian customers we offer delicious mixed vegetables dishes: potato, zucchini, eggplant, tomato, mixed mushroom, bell pepper. Every Sunday, starting at Noon, Costa Rican typical food is available.

Our Wine list includes wines produced in 10 different countries: Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, Italy, Spain, South Africa and United States.

Very often after dinner, our guests transform the evening into a dancing party. Come join us and animate the evening with the rhythm of music!
