Italian food, best wine and wild dancing!

Il Vino

Il Vino is a curious blend of haute cuisine and tropical funk. Naive frescoes of Venice adorn the walls and tables - small, large and vast - are dotted around its cozy, quirky space. The long bar, is the perfect perch to sips beer or cocktails or fine Italian wine.

In the far corner, is a pool table where you're always guaranteed a game, a great way to have good time and know local people.

But Il Vino is, first and foremost about food: Cristiano scours markets for the freshest, finest ingredients, and is happy to advise you what to have - regulars here rarely open the menu, we wait to be told what's good.

From simple pasta dishes with truffles and butter, with Puttanesca or Ragu, or - if you want to push the boat out - with a whole freshly poached lobster; steaming risottos, authentic Italian cheeses, prosciutto and cold cuts. But even these are only a taste of what is in store. The chef prepares fresh tuna, marlin or dorado in a dizzy variety of ways; there may be beef tenderloin or a whole chateaubriand depending on the local market.

Come and join us for a drink, a snack, a late night cocktail on a slow Sunday lunch; there is live music and wild dancing.

We are open every day from noon to evening on Samara's Main Street.
